Passage 1 Timothy 4 :
1 Timothy 4
Instructions to Timothy

1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

6If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

9This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance 10(and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.

11Command and teach these things. 12Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 13Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

15Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

WEDNESDAY SCRIPTURAL TEXT

Passage 2 Timothy 1 :
2 Timothy 1

1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,

2To Timothy, my dear son:
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Encouragement to Be Faithful

3I thank God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. 5I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. 6For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

8So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, 9who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 11And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. 12That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

13What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 14Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

15You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.

16May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains. 17On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he searched hard for me until he found me. 18May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day! You know very well in how many ways he helped me in Ephesus.

Passage Psalm 91:
Psalm 91

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

A Time for All Events in Life

3:1 For everything1 there is an appointed time,2

and an appropriate time3 for every activity4 on earth:5

3:2 A time to be born,6 and a time to die;7

a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted;

3:3 A time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

3:4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

3:5 A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

3:6 A time to search, and a time to give something up as lost;8

a time to keep, and a time to throw away;

3:7 A time to rip, and a time to sew;

a time to keep silent, and a time to speak.

3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate;

a time for war, and a time for peace.

SAY WHAT YOU SAID, SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOU HEARD!

SAY WHAT YOU SAID, SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOUR HEARD!!!

WATCH IT!!

WATCH YOUR THOUGHTS, THEY BECOME WORDS

WATCH YOUR WORDS THEY BECOME ACTIONS

WATCH YOUR ACTIONS, THEY BECOME YOUR HABITS

WATCH YOUR HABITS, THEY BECOME YOUR CHARACTER

WATCH YOUR CHARACTER IT BECOMES YOUR DESTINY!!

FAITH WITHOUT ACTION IS DEAD!!

Passage James 2:14-26:
Faith and Deeds

14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

19You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

20You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]? 21Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,"[b] and he was called God's friend. 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.

25In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

POWER OF LIFE & DEATH IS IN THE TONGUE!

Passage James 3 :
James 3
Taming the Tongue

1Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

3When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

7All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
Two Kinds of Wisdom

13Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. 16For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

YOU JUST KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW WHEN YOU KNOW IT!

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

THE WORLD IS OUT OF BALANCE AND GOD IS NOT PLEASED, THE FOCUS IS OUT KILTER IN THE WORLD, THE WORLD IS IN A HURRY TO GO TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET. NO, IT IS NOT ALL INCLUSIVE, IT MAY NOT BE YOU THAT IS IN DANGER OF LOSING OR HAS LOST THEIR WAY, IT MAY BE THE ONES AROUND US THAT WE PROFESS TO LOVE AND CARE ABOUT.

ASK YOUR SELF THIS QUESTION.......WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU TOOK A MOMENT TO JUST SHARE A MINUTE OF YOUR DAY WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE AND TELL THEM ABOUT THE GOODNESS OF JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD & SAVIOR AND HIS FATHER???

YOU DON'T OWE ME AN ANSWER OR AN EXPLANATION, BUT THERE IS ONE WHO DOES NEED TO KNOW JUST WHERE YOUR HEART AND FOCUS IS, NOT NOW, BUT RIGHT NOW!

GOD IS ALWAYS THERE, I REPEAT ALWAYS THERE, HIS SON JESUS STANDS AT THE DOOR TO YOUR HEART, RIGHT NOW KNOCKING, WAITING FOR YOU TO LET HIM IN, LISTEN HE'S KNOCKING SOFTLY, HE'S NOT PUSHY, IT'S YOUR CHOICE TO LET HIM IN, IT'S YOUR TIME.

IT'S TIME TO SHIFT OUR PRIORITIES, IT'S NOT TO LATE,..........IT'S YOUR TIME!!!

THIS SUNDAY MORNING SCRIPTURE & QUESTION

DO YOU REALIZE THE MAGNITUDE AND FULL POWER OF GOD'S LOVE FOR YOU & DO YOU LOVE HIM BACK?

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-13

WITHOUT THE LOVE OF GOD, LIFE IS MEANINGLESS

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

A WORD from MINISTER BERNARD CHEEKS & A WORD FROM GOD

JUST THOUGHT I'D TAKE A MINUTE TO SHARE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD WITH YOU TODAY. NOT BECAUSE YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW HOW GOOD HE IS BUT FOR THE SIMPLE FACT OF LETTING YOU KNOW THAT I KNOW AND RECOGNIZE WHERE MY STRENGTH COMES. SOMETIMES WE GET WEARY, SOME TIMES WE GET A LITTLE "FLESHY", SOMETIMES WE LET THINGS GET UNDER OUR SKIN AND CAUSE US TO ACT IN A WAY THAT THERE IS NO "GOD" SHOWING IN OUR ACTIONS.

BUT I ASK YOU TO TAKE A MINUTE AND TAKE A REAL DEEP BREATH (I'LL WAIT) AND THEN LET IT OUT. NOW HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR 15 SECONDS (DON'T CHEAT AND BREATHE THRU YOUR NOSE) AND THEN IF YOU DON'T REALIZE AT THE VERY, VERY LEAST, YOU HAVE SOMETHING TANGIBLE TO GIVE "GOD" PRAISE FOR, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT.....IT'S THE AIR THAT YOU BREATHE.

SO AT THE VERY LEAST, I GAVE YOU ONE THING TO BE THANKFUL FOR AND THAT'S THE JUST THE BEGINNING, RIGHT ABOUT NOW, EXCUSE ME WHILE I GET MY PRAISE ON!! TAKE THE TIME AND READ THE SCRIPTURES BELOW, THESE ARE FAVORITE SCRIPTURES THAT OTHER SAINTS HAVE SHARED WITH ME WHEN THEY ARE GOING THRU!

JESUS IS REAL, TAKE THE TIME TO RECOGNIZE THAT YOU ARE A "FAVORITE" OF THE KING OF KINGS, AND THEN EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FALL INTO PLACE! GOD IS.........

TAKE A MOMENT TO LISTEN TO OUR FEATURED ARTIST, LUTHER BARNES REMINDING US THAT IT'S YOUR TIME. PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW......... MINISTER BERNARD CHEEKS

WITHOUT THE LOVE OF GOD AND THE ABILITY FOR US TO GIVE AND RECEIVE LOVE, WE CAN NOT PLEASE GOD!!

2 John 1:6:
6 what this love consists in is this: that we live and walk in accordance with and guided by His commandments (His orders, ordinances, precepts, teaching). This is the commandment, as you have heard from the beginning, that you continue to walk in love [guided by it and following it].

Passage Colossians 1:15-23:

The Supremacy of Christ

15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

21Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[a] your evil behavior. 22But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

BREAD FOR NOURISHMENT....ARE YOU HUNGRY?

Passage John 15:15-16:

15 I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]

16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as [a]presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

GOD'S WORD FOR TODAY IS:

Proverbs 29:18:
18Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.

Passage Luke 12:35-48:
Watchfulness

35"Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, 36like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. 38It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. 39But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

41Peter asked, "Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everyone?"

42The Lord answered, "Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? 43It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. 44I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 45But suppose the servant says to himself, 'My master is taking a long time in coming,' and he then begins to beat the menservants and maidservants and to eat and drink and get drunk. 46The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

47"That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

SPIRITUAL FOOD "THROUGH THE WRITTEN WORD & SONG"

LUTHER BARNES – IT’S YOUR TIME

You’ve been faithful, you’ve been true
And you’ve done all that you can do
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
You applauded for the rest
Now it's your time to be blessed
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
(REPEAT CHORUS)

You’ve waited for so long
But you held on, and you were strong
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
You encouraged everyone else
When you needed it for yourself
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
(CHORUS)

You encouraged everyone else
When you needed it for yourself
And for your faithfulness, it's your time

This song is dedicated to all of you who have been working in the vineyard for the Lord for what seems like a lifetime. You have dreamed and you’ve worked towards things that you’ve wanted to accomplish for yourself. But somehow your biggest goals always seem to be just out of your reach. But the Lord told me to tell you He knows who you are. Yes, He's seen your work and He's also seen your tears. And He wants you to know that you are not forgotten. He's here to reward you for all your faithfulness. For He said in His word if you will delight yourself in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart. In other words, not only will He give you what you need, but He promised to give you whatever you want. So don't get discouraged. So don't give up. Hang in there and prepare yourself for your blessing. It's your time now.

You have waited for so long.
But you held on, you were strong
And for your faithfulness (5 times)
Because you hung in there when times got hard
And when it seemed like nobody cared
You kept right on working
You kept right on doing good things
And for your faithfulness
And for your faithfulness, it's your time
He told me to tell you, it's your time
